The term
‘wild caught’ often turns people off but the wild caught reptiles
that I offer for sale have been well established in captivity, are feeding,
free of mites and ticks, have been wormed and in most cases have a good
temperament. The advantages of wild caught animals are that you know the
original locality of the animal and that it is a genetically pure specimen
from a wild population. This process is 100% legal and I am under contract to
the Northern Territory Government and have a special license to offer these
animals for sale.
If you are seeking
wild caught species it is preferable to place an order as not every
species is kept to be ready for sale. Whilst a range of species are
captured under the snake removal contract, orders may take a little
time to be filled depending on snake activity and adjustment by the
snake to captivity. A deposit may be required for wild caught animals.
With
the many recent outbreaks of OPMV and other viruses in Australia the
popularity of Wild Caught animals has risen. It is just one way to
minimise the chances of infection, but keep in mind that all animals
new to your collection should still be quarantined.
All
prices quoted are in $AUS, and do not include freight costs. Photos
of individual reptiles in stock, information on size, gender, etc
are available in the Price List
or by direct e-mail request.

WATER PYTHON
(Liasis fuscus)
These
beautifully coloured snakes obtain a maximum length of around
2.0 metres. Whilst they have a reputation of being a very snappy
snake, with frequent handling they can acquire a nice docile
nature. The Katherine locality seem to have the better qualities
of both the QLD and Darwin animals, that is nicely coloured
and pretty well behaved.

OLIVE PYTHON
(Liasis olivaceus)
Olive
pythons make a great pet; are friendly and very inquisitive.
These snakes obtain a large size, up to 4 metres and can weigh
well over 15kgs. Olives
are one of my favourite pythons and although they lack bright
colours or patterns i am amazed by these animals, they have
a very clean and sleek appearance.
